During his career Brennan mentored and helped many firefighters achieve their dreams and rise through the ranks as well. The “Public Servant of the Year” award, which is presented during the Trailblazers of the Fire Service Brunch ceremony, is named in his honor. It is given to an individual, who over the course of his/her career, has gone above and beyond to guide, mentor and help youth and young adults pursue the fire service as a career.
