The Professional Firefighters Association of South Florida (PFA South Florida) delivers the first Firefighter Orientation and Life Skills of the year for middle grade students at the Dilliard High School campus. Life Skills is emphasized because they include topics such as critical thinking, good decision-making and accountability, just to name a few. Our presentations involve the consequences of gang life, illegal drug use, criminal activity, violence and the court/prison system. We teach proper police interaction, respect for their peers/females, conflict resolution and the importance of academics, scholarships and career planning. In a nutshell, “Make no excuses for success”. We thank Educator Delvin Rogers for inviting us again.
